Downward particle and carbon fluxes have been measured at site E2M3A, located in the centre of the Southern Adriatic Pit from December 2013 to October 2016. Particle collection experiments have been conducted at the same site with the same methodology (trap depth and analytical treatment) during 1997-98, 2007-08 and 2013-16 years allowing to investigate possible long-term temporal trends of exported fluxes. The comparison is made using weight-averaged mean fluxes of total mass, Corg and CaC03. In addition, continuous measurements were collected at the mooring station to assess the interannual variability of the thermohaline circulation and of water masses properties.
