It was at the turn of the 1930s, that its directors asked Louis Guilloux to second Marcel Martinet in the direction of the "Prosateurs français contemporains" collection. The correspondence between Guilloux and Rieder is interesting for those who know this publishing house (and for those who wish to discover it) because it concerns almost all its collaborators; in addition to this, Guilloux's and Martinet's the comments explicit some of the main lines of "Prosateurs français contemporains"'s poetics .

| Abstract: | L'article sert d'introduction à la publication de la correspondance entre l'écrivain Louis Guilloux et différents collaborateurs des éditions Rieder. C'est au tournant des années 1930, au cours d'une période assez noire pour Rieder, que ses directeurs font appel à Louis Guilloux en lui demandant de seconder Marcel Martinet dans la direction de la collection de littérature française "Prosateurs français contemporains". La correspondance entre Guilloux et les éditions Rieder est intéressante pour ceux qui connaissent cette maison d’édition (et pour ceux qui souhaitent la découvrir) parce qu’on y croise presque tous ses collaborateurs; les commentaires de Guilloux et de Martinet laissent percevoir, de plus, quelques-unes des lignes principales de la poétique des "Prosateurs français contemporains". |
