This volume proposes an itinerary through the reflection of contemporary philosophy, following the thread of three decisive terms for the delimitation of the aesthetic field, "world", "things", and "images", and starting from the specific reconstruction of the contribution of four thinkers identified for the wealth and originality with which they have developed the concepts in question and thus allowed to rethink the perceptive-sensitive relationship with the world and the experience as a whole: Hans Blumenberg, Georges Perec, Georg Simmel and Theodor W. Adorno.
