In this chapter the authors document the evolution of the antiabortion strategies and rhetoric transnationally, showcasing the parallel evolution of antiabortion arguments in North America, Europe, and Russia. While each case has to be assessed in own right and in the light of the specific historical, cultural, and political factors that impact public discourses concerning reproductive rights, the authors identify some surprising convergences among contemporary antiabortion discourses and strategies across these different contexts. These convergences not only testify to the existence of transnational conversations among Western and Russian pro-life activists but also signal a new step in the global antiabortion discourse.

Abstract
In this chapter the authors document the evolution of the antiabortion strategies and rhetoric transnationally, showcasing the parallel evolution of antiabortion arguments in North America, Europe, and Russia. While each case has to be assessed in own right and in the light of the specific historical, cultural, and political factors that impact public discourses concerning reproductive rights, the authors identify some surprising convergences among contemporary antiabortion discourses and strategies across these different contexts. These convergences not only testify to the existence of transnational conversations among Western and Russian pro-life activists but also signal a new step in the global antiabortion discourse.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
