The Etrusco-Italic hamlet of Pianella di Monte Savino in Monte Bibele was founded at the beginning of the 4th century BC. With the Old Monterenzio necropolis shows the establishment of small hamlets located in strategic positions along the main communication routes on the Apennines. Between 375 and 350 BC, a Celtic presence became established alongside the original Etrusco-Italic nucleus of the village. Sometime between the end of the 3rd and the beginning of the 2nd centuries BC, that is to say around the time of the routing of the Carthaginian armies, the subsequent and final defeat of the Boii, the foundation of Roman Bononia, and the construction of the Via Aemilia (Rimini-Piacenza) and Flaminia Minor (Arezzo-Bologna), our village ceased to exist. The destruction of the hamlet of Pianella, and the contextual and definitive abandonment of the whole Monte Bibele Massif, are substantiated by a substantial burnt layer, the origins of which are still subject to investigation.

Abstract
The destruction of the hamlet of Pianella, and the contextual and definitive abandonment of the whole Monte Bibele Massif, are substantiated by a substantial burnt layer, the origins of which are still subject to investigation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
