As a matter of fact, carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is one of the msot requently performed operations in a vascular surgery, for its proven benefits in stroke prevention. Etracranial carotid artery aneurysms (ECAAs) are only a small part of epi-aortic pathology and ranging from 0.1% to 5% of all carotid preocedures.
