Subclavian artery stenosis (SAS) is a rare expression of peripheral artery occlusive desease (PAOD), being present in 2% of the general population, The slow progression of the occlusive allows activation and development of a rich network of collateral, ending in an asymtomatic manifestatione of the disease. SAS is commonly associated with the ypical risk factors of atherosclerosis, such as hypertension, smoking, biabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery and lower-extremity peripheral artery diease.
