The essays presented in this volume aim at illustrating the scientific dimension of Lucretius' /De rerum natura/, a poem whose contents have principally examined from the literary point of view. The philological, stylistic and historical acquisitions have resulted in an interdisciplinary survey which has favoured the contextualisation of Lucretius' poem within the history of science.
