Menu for Justice. Toward a Curriculum Studiorum in Judicial Studies

Menu for Justice, scientific co-coordinator (together with Carlo Guarnieri) and responsible for the dissemination work-package. PROJECT FINANCED under the LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME OF THE EUROPEAN UNION (DG EDUCATION AND CULTURE) and has been realized as a joint research and education support program by a consortium of 48 universities, whose leading partner was the University of Bologna. The project has been path breaking in many respects. It has collected Europe wide data on the legal education and the judicial training programs. The DG Justice of the European Commission has referring to it to launch a consultationon round on the competences and the functional needs of the courts (carried on within the frame of the EIPA project on judicial training). It has strenghtened a wide network of collaborations both in the academic and in the judicial institutions. Finally this project has inspired the design and the implementation of the first program of judicial training offered by the Italian justice system to senior magistrates.
