The approximation of matrix functions has received significant attention during the past few years, resulting in great advances in the numerical treatment as well as in the use of matrix functions in applied sciences. The aim of this minisymposium is to gather leading researchers in the subject to present recent developments in the study of numerical methods for the approximation and use of matrix functions.
