It makes a critical contribution to the translation from French into English of Henri Van Lier's "Philosophie de la photographie", and focuses on the relation between written text and the illustrations. The curators of the translation decided to dispense with the original illustrations and instead include photographs made by young photographers from the Gevaert Research Centre for Photography (Bruxelles).
