The paper describes three decades of digital media representation experiences and the cultural line on which they are based, following the path of a regular publication on Disegnare Idee Immagini, the architectural representation community's main scientific reference. In particular, starting from the assumption of the double style proper of all architecture representation systems, namely documentation and interpretation, the essay aims to deepen research, methods and techniques developed for the latter.
