Cardiac rotation is a sensitive indicator of cardiac performance. We present CardioMon, a newly developed implantable catheter equipped with a 3D MEMs gyro to provide the continuous monitoring of cardiac rotation. Preliminary lab tests on CardioMon catheter were performed to assess reliability of angular velocity signals measured by the 3D MEMs gyro included in the catheter.
