Justice and politics are inevitably related, since judges participate to the authoritative allocation of values. In recent decades, the domain of adjudication has expanded thanks to institutional reforms, like constitutional review and the strengthening of judicial independence. The relationships between justice and the media has also become more significant, with courts providing media with important news and media supporting judges facing political pressure. However, the expansion of judicial power has triggered a reaction by the political environment trying, with varying success, to influence judicial decisions.

Abstract
Justice and politics are inevitably related, since judges participate to the authoritative allocation of values. In recent decades, the domain of adjudication has expanded thanks to institutional reforms, like constitutional review and the strengthening of judicial independence. The relationships between justice and the media has also become more significant, with courts providing media with important news and media supporting judges facing political pressure. However, the expansion of judicial power has triggered a reaction by the political environment trying, with varying success, to influence judicial decisions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
