ELETTRA PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION Proposal number: 20145337 Title: Metal hexacyanoferrates-based cathodes for rechargeable batteries: structural and electronic studies by operando XAFS Proposer: Marco GIORGETTI Beamline(s): XAFS Required shifts: 15 Objectives: XAS is applied for the study of both charge and local geometry of Fe and Cu local sites in a newly prepared cathode for rechargeable Li and Na batteries. The XAS technique permits to monitor the local atomic structure and charge associated to the metals in hexacyanoferrate materials prepared by different synthetic approaches, during the battery discharge/processes (operando mode).
