Cultural and political impact of the Great War and its aftermath in Italian Intellectuals. To the rank of mature intellectuals the study adds many others, younger and even unkown, who were involved in the army, in education and in propaganda. The study analyses the different phases of this envolment, fron the period of Neutrality in 1914 to the second cultural activism in 1917 after Caporetto. Then it reachs the WWI aftermath when the division among intellectuals was not anymore betw neutralists and interventionists but betw those favorable to or against fascism.
