Our schools must not only help students develop a feeling of belonging to the community but also teach them how to « live together » (Ministère de l’éducation, 2002). For a long time, different waves of immigration have in fact introduced a new element into Québécois society, one capable of rupturing the dichotomy between Francophones and Anglophones: allophones.
