Astrochemistry and molecular astrophysics are interdisciplinary fields involving chemistry, physics, and astronomy and aiming at the understanding of the chemical evolution of the universe. Both fields span astronomical observations, modeling, and theoretical and/or experimental laboratory-based investigations. This contribution provides an introductory overview, focusing on the computational aspects of astrochemistry (computational astrochemistry) and on the role played by molecular spectroscopy in the field of molecular astrophysics.

Abstract
Astrochemistry and molecular astrophysics are interdisciplinary fields involving chemistry, physics, and astronomy and aiming at the understanding of the chemical evolution of the universe. Both fields span astronomical observations, modeling, and theoretical and/or experimental laboratory-based investigations. This contribution provides an introductory overview, focusing on the computational aspects of astrochemistry (computational astrochemistry) and on the role played by molecular spectroscopy in the field of molecular astrophysics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
