This article aims to reopen the historiographic debate on the Italian nobility during the Fascist regime following two main lines of inquiry: a mesuration of the noble consensus to the regime using a quantitative method; secondly the search of deviations from the aristocratic consensual model focusing the attention expecially on the phenomenon ( never analysed at this moment) of the participations on nobles to the Italian resistence against nazi-fascism.
