GeoActa is an international journal of earth sciences that was born in 2001 incorporating the Giornale di Geologia and the Mineralogica et Petrographica Acta, both of them edited in the past by the Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e Geologico-Ambientali of Bologna University. The journal is organized into separate sections dealing with different topics (from sedimentology to geochemistry, from mineralogy to applied geology). GeoActa is supported by a high-quality Editorial Committee of international composition and receives contributions from all around the world. The new editorial policy is to submit the journal to evaluation in order to be included in the ISI list.
