The annual Congress of the European Federation of Societies for ultrasound in Medicine and Biology(EFSUMB), "Euroson 2006", was organized by the Italian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology(SIUMB). It was helded in Bologna and it planned advanced educational courses for those wanted to refine their knowledge in specific fields of ultrasonography, together with new modalities to keep participants updated at the cutting edge of clinical and basic research. The scientific sessions presented the best results of internacional research projects and explored new updating modalities focused on the critical comment of the current scientific literature.
