In the course of our studies concerning the development of new ester-functionalized Cp ligands we have developed the synthesis of the novel Rh(I) complexes [Rh(L,L)(C5H4CO2(CHR)2OH)] (L,L = 2 CO o 2,5-norbornadiene) (R = H, Me, Ph) that showed catalytic activity in the homogeneous hydroformilation. With the aim of obtaining new dendritic catalysts the complex [Rh(NBD)(C5H4CO2(CH2)2OH] (1) has been anchored on the five generation poly(propyleneimine) dendrimers DAB-Am-(NH2)x (X = 4,8,16,32,64). The synthesis of the new, completely functionalized, organometallic dendritic macromolecules DAB-dendr-[NH(O)COCH2CH2OC(O)C5H4Rh(NBD)]X (X = 4,8,16,32,64) containing peripheral alkoxycarbonylcyclopentadienyl complexes of rhodium(I) will be presented.
