Introduction to the history of Chinese migrants presence in Italy starting from the 1920s. Different categories of migrants with different geographical origin are described. The process of integration into mainstream culture of the limited number of Chinese pioneer migrants’ offspring in the cities of early settlement as well as in new settlement areas are presented.
