In the frame of the International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility (IFMIF) project the ENEA-Bologna group was committed (Task No. TW5-TTMI-004 Deliverable 4) to perform the “Evaluation of the activation induced by the deuteron beam losses in the accelerator beam line and the assessment of dose rates in the Accelerator Facility”. This activity required the development of the new deuteron activation code package, ANITA-DEUT, able to manage the deuteron induced transmutation and activation. The ANITA-DEUT code can actually work with two deuteron cross sections libraries: 1) based on the ACSELAM library 2) based on the file EAF_D_GXS-2005.1 of the EASY-2005-1 system developed in the frame of the IFMIF Task TW5-TTMI-004, Deliverable 3 The present report summarises the main features of the ANITA-DEUT activation code package and of the two deuteron activation libraries. An application of the ANITA-DEUT code package to the deuteron exposure characterisation of SS-304 corrosion products in the IFMIF lithium loop is shown.
