A new joint Irano-Italian project (Iranian Center for Archaeological Research and Università di Bologna, with the collaboration of IsIAO) concerns the stratigraphic investigation of the Toll-e Takht of Pasargadae, excavated by a British Mission between 1961 and 1963. A series of stratigraphic trenches is giving new elements for a ceramic and chronological sequence at the site, thanks also to the collection of samples for C14 analyses. The first campaign has been carried out in October-November 2006, with the collaboration of the Parse-Pasargad Reserach Foundation.
