Introduzione

Terminus era il Dio dei romani che sorvegliava i confini. Tale divinità è stata riscoperta e fatta propria da Erasmo da Rotterdam. Egli sapeva, infatti, di vivere sul confine tra due civiltà. Oggi noi abbiamo la stessa sensazione: di trovarci cioè tra una vecchia civiltà ed una nuova antropologia che si sta affermando. Di qui la necessità, avvertita come mille anni fa dai maestri bolognesi, di riflettere, attraverso una collana di studi, sulle grandi sfide che aprono al terzo millennio. Terminus was the god of the Romans who guarded the borders. This deity has been rediscovered and reappropriated by Erasmus of Rotterdam. He knew, in fact, to live on the border between the two ages. Today we have the same feeling: to find ourselves between an old civilization and a new anthropology that is emerging. Hence the need, felt like a thousand years ago by the masters of the origin of Alma Mater, to reflect, through a series of studies, on the major challenges that open up to the third millennium.
