Framing is a central feature in linguistic interaction, social communication, the application of intelligence. The colloquium has explored research lines in a variety of disciplines, and primarily in linguistics, philosophy and economics. Primary objective of the colloquium has been to encourage mutual awareness, cross fertilization and the identification of new problem areas and analytical tools. The colloquium focussed, although not exclusively, upon issues relevant at the same time in manifold fields of investigation, such as the relationship between framing and non-monotonic reasoning, context-dependence, the dynamics of meaningful patterns in interactive situations. The colloquium suggested a fresh outlook on classical (and central) issues such as the evolution of natural languages, the dynamics of collective Knowledge, the possibility of coordination.

Abstract
The colloquium suggested a fresh outlook on classical (and central) issues such as the evolution of natural languages, the dynamics of collective Knowledge, the possibility of coordination.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
