Some of the hows and whys about teaching probability are considered. After a quick historical introduction we identify as a main issue the lack of probabilistic culture in the country. Some possible reasons for the intrinsic difficulties of the discipline are discussed and ideas on how to teach it are proposed. Novel perspectives beyond classical motives on why teaching probability are shortly outlined.
