This volume of Annals of Operations Research is devoted to the ECCO XXIII—CO 2010 Joint Conference that was held at the facilities of the University of Málaga (Spain) from May 27 to May 29, 2010. There were 79 registered participants, and 128 authors contributed to the abstracts. The topics included: scheduling and sequencing, multicriteria problems, graphs, integer programming, traveling salesman problem, knapsack problems, metaheuristics, routing, location, assignment problems, air traffic management, logistics, and supply chain management. This volume is devoted to the presentation of a selection of the presented papers. After a thorough refereeing process, fourteen papers have been accepted for publication.
