Conventional pharmaceutical forms allow a rapid and uncontrolled release of the active agent: the control of the release can be achieved by means of a suitable modifications either of the structure of the pharmaceutical form or of the physical state of the drug. The aim of this work was to prepare a form releasing an anti-pain drug: indomethacin as fast as possible. According to these ideas in this work we modified both the mentioned parameters inserting freeze-dried polymer/drug particles into microspheres, prepared by the ultrasonic spray-congealing technique, with the aim to modify the release of the drug.
