The Italian wine sector represents an important element of the high quality agri-food system. In recent years he has lived moments of strong dynamics and success in the international market as well as he has lived the review of the Community policy support. The great propensity to internationalization and the characteristics of demand, strongly linked to changes in the consumer tastes, have differentiated the wine sector from other agro-food sectors. In this paper we present some of his specific characteristics.
