Spinel structure Cd(1-x)Fe(x)In2S4 alloys are semiconducting alloys with interesting magnetic properties. Using XAFS we propose to determine 1) the site occupancy of octahedral and tetrahedral sites; 2) the type and deegree of ordering of Cd/Fe in the tetrahedral sites; 3) the composition dependence of the bond lengths. Results will be correlated with magnetic properties.

Abstract
