This paper discusses the heuristic of 'natural economic dynamics' from the point of view of structural analysis. It highlights that the concept of 'natural economic system' is closely related to the utilization of the criterion of relative structural invariance, and that it presupposes identification of the different degrees of permanence of the different components of any given economic system
