The proceedings of the Doctoral Research Seminar are the result of an event organised by the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Genova in cooperation with the Emuni Euro-Mediterranean University (Slovenia) in July 2011. The research activity was focused on the respect of fundamental rights of migrants in the Mediterranean area and on the potential cooperation among relevant states in this field through a political, sociological as well as juridical approach.
