In the framework of Ebla Chora Project, several research activities have been developed using different satellite data. The products derived, encompassing a land cover classification of the region, some morphological maps obtained from regional DTMs and some high resolution products over the Ebla site, can constitute not only a cartographic base for the establishment of GIS analyses, but also a contribution to the development of new kind of studies in this important archaeological area. This work was made possible by an IDEAS grant from the European Research Council.
