A land in its setting: Remote sensing satellite imagery for the characterization of the Eblaite Chora.

In the framework of Ebla Chora Project, several research activities have been developed using different satellite data. The products derived, encompassing a land cover classification of the region, some morphological maps obtained from regional DTMs and some high resolution products over the Ebla site, can constitute not only a cartographic base for the establishment of GIS analyses, but also a contribution to the development of new kind of studies in this important archaeological area.
