The local structure and oxidation state of titanium (Ti) clusters, acting as catalysts for hydrogen (H) absorption and desorption in Mg nanoparticles (NPs) will be studied by Ti K-edge XAFS. Measurements at low temperature under vacuum will be carried out on different samples, selected to represent the different steps of the hydrogen sorption cycle: as-prepared, after hydrogen absorption, and after hydrogen desorption. Samples with different Ti content will be investigated. This experiment aims to contribute fundamental understanding in the field of nano-catalysts for H-storage materials.

Abstract
The local structure and oxidation state of titanium (Ti) clusters, acting as catalysts for hydrogen (H) absorption and desorption in Mg nanoparticles (NPs) will be studied by Ti K-edge XAFS. Measurements at low temperature under vacuum will be carried out on different samples, selected to represent the different steps of the hydrogen sorption cycle: as-prepared, after hydrogen absorption, and after hydrogen desorption. Samples with different Ti content will be investigated. This experiment aims to contribute fundamental understanding in the field of nano-catalysts for H-storage materials.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
