Una scrittrice-pittrice: Nina Gabrieljan in una prospettiva femminista

Nina Gabrieljan a writer and a painter from a feminist perspective. Nina Gabrieljan began her career as a writer about twenty years ago, she has published several stories and poems along with critical essays from a feminist perspective. A story of hers, The Lilac Dressing Gown has been translated into Italian for an anthology of contemporary Russian women writers, while other stories have been translated into English. In her stories particular attention for colour and shape can be detected along with the world of childhood. This is why it is not surprising at all that she is also a fine painter, whose imaginative world is permeated by the memory of Armenia, her native country.
