The energy efficiency of different urban deployment solutions for cellular radio systems is studied with the help of an advanced 3D Ray Tracing tool. Results show that smaller cell deployments are more energy efficient, while the adoption of overlay macro-cells also helps improving the overall power-area efficiency of the system.

Abstract
The energy efficiency of different urban deployment solutions for cellular radio systems is studied with the help of an advanced 3D Ray Tracing tool. Results show that smaller cell deployments are more energy efficient, while the adoption of overlay macro-cells also helps improving the overall power-area efficiency of the system.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
