This article is the result of the study of an important Sasanian hoard found in 1950 in Dushanbe. The 39 coins are now preserved in the National Museum of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is very interesting the fact that the drachms were countermarked with a "S" tamgha, otherwise unknown on Sasanian coins.
