Normally, contemporary semantics has a propositional approach to meaning, according to which meaning is complete, though calculating it may be a function of context. Here, following a former paper of mine, "Meaning and context" (Lingue e linguaggio 6, 2007: 9-24), I suggest that meaning is something we add to context and not a complete representation of the situation.

Abstract
Normally, contemporary semantics has a propositional approach to meaning, according to which meaning is complete, though calculating it may be a function of context. Here, following a former paper of mine, "Meaning and context" (Lingue e linguaggio 6, 2007: 9-24), I suggest that meaning is something we add to context and not a complete representation of the situation.File in questo prodotto:
