The paper relates about wooden floor system based on traditional double frames floor and replaced by continuous layer made in reeds, gypsum; this technique is similar to that in use for camorcanne or incannucciato system, that were generally employed for false vaults and ceilings. The use of of reeds and gypsum to create horizontal or vertical floor and false vaults takes the name of arellato and represents an exclusive singularity of Reggio Emilia context. It was applied starting from eighteenth century as a current system sometimes coupled with a second arellato for ceiling.
