Th is chapter surveys how genomics approaches have helped to elucidate the genetic basis of crop performance under abiotic constraints, such as drought, salinity, soil toxicity and low nutrients. Additionally, the review shows how this information has been used in breeding programmes to improve crop performance and how it might help agriculture better to withstand the negative effects of climate change. Future perspectives are given.

Abstract
Th is chapter surveys how genomics approaches have helped to elucidate the genetic basis of crop performance under abiotic constraints, such as drought, salinity, soil toxicity and low nutrients. Additionally, the review shows how this information has been used in breeding programmes to improve crop performance and how it might help agriculture better to withstand the negative effects of climate change. Future perspectives are given.File in questo prodotto:
