Based on the analysis of the French, Italian and UK sections of the IntUne press corpus, this chapter analyses, both from a diachronic and a synchronic perspective, the different meanings of 'citizen' and 'citizenship' in the three languages. In particular, it illustrates how the press in the three countries represent citizenship in rather different ways
