The comparison of the evolution of the delta zones in Adriatic Sea, Black Sea, Tracian Sea (Aegean Sea) and Maliakos gulf shows the influence of the man activity on the present day situation. The purpose of this work is: a. to describe geomorphological evolution of the deltaic ecosystems of the “Po river Delta” in Italy, “Danube river Delta” in Romania, “Nestos and Spercheios river Delta” in Greece, b. to identified the main human activities as well as the existing or planned infrastructure works and c. to identified as far as possible the changes/impacts of these above mentioned activities and the problems that follow and affect these deltas and ecosystems in such a way as to produce a manageable “tool” that will be used in order to make decisions relevant to the rational management of the natural resources and the environment of the deltaic areas.

Abstract
The comparison of the evolution of the delta zones in Adriatic Sea, Black Sea, Tracian Sea (Aegean Sea) and Maliakos gulf shows the influence of the man activity on the present day situation. The purpose of this work is: a. to describe geomorphological evolution of the deltaic ecosystems of the “Po river Delta” in Italy, “Danube river Delta” in Romania, “Nestos and Spercheios river Delta” in Greece, b. to identified the main human activities as well as the existing or planned infrastructure works and c. to identified as far as possible the changes/impacts of these above mentioned activities and the problems that follow and affect these deltas and ecosystems in such a way as to produce a manageable “tool” that will be used in order to make decisions relevant to the rational management of the natural resources and the environment of the deltaic areas.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
