Abstract
Alcohol dehydrogenases are enzymes involved in natural oxidoreductive interconversions between alcohols and aldehydes. In particular Horse Liver Alcohol Dehydrogenase (HLADH) is an interesting enzyme and it has been used in several chemical processes. In a research project on the development of a chemoenzymatic synthesis of Profens we used HLADH for the asymmetric reduction of several racemic 2-arylpropanals to (2S)-arylpropanols. Optimized reaction conditions in a buffer–organic medium, allowed the occurrence of a dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) processI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
