Non-profit organizations already do an excellent job with very few available resources, and for this reason they need more freedom to achieve even better results. Low salaries, risk reduction, no long-term perspective, limitation on the use of advertisement and marketing, performance assessment based only on general costs: these are only some of the constrictions that non-profit in Italy is forced into. To clear this hurdle, there’s need to find the mental strength required to change our mind-set, to define a new ethical paradigm, praising those who achieve better results rather than those who keep the expenses low.
