Italy: between territorial regeneration and reception strategies – the need for more synergies

Italy’s inner areas have been subject to processes of economic and demographic shrinkage while also being confronted with large-scale immigration over the last decade. How to achieve rural revitalisation and the ‘dispersal of reception centres’ are both high on the agenda.
