Presented at FOTOGALERIE WIEN, Association for the Promotion of Art Photography and New Media, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna, this group exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the two institutions and Federica Muzzarelli, Professor of Photography and Visual Culture at the University of Bologna. She is also the founder of FAF – Fotografia Arte Femminismi / International Research Centre, a platform focused on the relationship between photography, art, and feminisms within contemporary visual culture. Curated by Federica Muzzarelli together with the curatorial collective of FOTOGALERIE WIEN, the exhibition brings together 16 artists: Italian photographers from the Donata Pizzi Collection alongside Austrian artists selected by FOTOGALERIE WIEN in response to the Italian positions. Through its curatorial approach, the exhibition extends the gallery’s ongoing engagement with contemporary photographic practices and feminist perspectives.
