This paper offers a papyrological reassessment of PHerc. 1065, which preserves the final thirty-nine columns of Philodemus’ De signis. It focuses on the manuscript’s material features, subscriptio, mise en page, marginalia, and exceptionally rich system of reading signs. Paragraphoi, diplai, coronides, asterisks, chi-shaped marks, and spaces are examined in relation to the structure of the text and the articulation of objections, replies, examples, and doctrinally significant passages. Their distribution suggests that they functioned as an interpretative apparatus guiding readers through the argument. The papyrus thus appears to have been intended for scholarly and didactic use within the Epicurean school.

Abstract
The papyrus thus appears to have been intended for scholarly and didactic use within the Epicurean school.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
