This article analyzes the mythical figure of Sadwes, a star name of Avestan derivation, in the framework of Iranian Manichaean cosmology. Sadwes, as a non-Zodiacal star, was considered to be of different nature as Maiden of Light and not subjected to the demonization we would expected in literary Iranian sources.
